Frilling Austin To Do’s: Part Two

By

Last week I posted about some of my favorite daytime activities in Austin, TX. Today I want to focus on frilling things to do at night.

1. Watch the sun set at the Oasis Restaurant:

The outside seating can hold over 1,000 people, and the view is absolutely breathtaking! My favorite dish to order is the southwestern lettuce wraps.

2. Have dinner, drinks, AND a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse.

This might be my favorite. I can’t decide. There’s just something amazing about getting to order all the appetizers, entrees, desserts, and drinks you want whilst having the movie theater experience as well. I seriously love it.

3. Have a laugh at Esther’s Follies.

Enjoy a comedy show and a legit magician at Austin’s premiere comedy club, located on the famous sixth street.

4. Experience the night life on 4th, 5th, and 6th streets.

My new favorite restaurant on 6th street is the Iron Cactus Grill. They have some of the best guacamole I have ever had, AND they have white queso, which is really hard to find around here!

Late at night on the weekends, they close off traffic on the famous 6th street. If the crazy crowd gets to be too much for you (as I have found it is for me!), head down to 4th and 5th streets for a more refined nightlife experience. My most recent faves are Qua for dancing and Halcyon Coffee, Bar, and Lounge for a late night dessert.

Got any Austin nightlife faves?
