Stripes & stripes: on mixing prints

If I’ve learned anything about myself in the last year when it comes to fashion, it’s that I absolutely LOVE mixing prints (like here, here and here). It’s kind of my thing. I also really love mixing prints of similar patterns, like here with polka dots and here with stripes.

My advice for pattern mixing is to be confident and don’t underestimate what you can get away with. If mixing prints makes you nervous, start easy with two subtle patterns like I have on here, and then you can add more layers with bolder prints as you become more comfortable. I think pattern mixing definitely adds FRILLS and an element of unexpectedness…so, go for it! Happy Saturday!
